The renowned tech-giant Apple has recently joined the congregation of companies ‘The Thread Group’. It is notable that the Thread companies are focused at significantly thriving in the smart home domain.
Yesterday, the list of Thread members took most of the technology world by surprise when Apple’s name was found listed on the group’s website.
Apple is now an official member of The Thread Group. One can simply visit The Thread Group Website to witness the new member. Apple’s logo has not been stuck there.
The Thread is a combination of interconnected network of several smart home devices. Thread enables to establish a better communication among these devices. It supports a wide range of smart devices ranging from security systems, IoT, light control devices, and kitchen appliances and much more.
The Thread Group’s website claims to have eradicated common issues in connecting smart and saving power in smart home devices while connecting hundreds of systems together. Poor connections and huge battery consumption are general issues faced by household around US and UK where the ratio of smart device users is the most.
A number of mobile application development companies suggest that the move might be ignited by following the steps of Amazon and Nest (Owned by Google) that are already members of The Thread Group. Apple’s AI-based assistant Siri is already very powerful and its HomePod already contains next-level smart home assistant features.
Maybe the leading IT company is planning to take over the world of IoT or it probably doesn’t want to stay behind the tech race with Google & Amazon. The speculations are many. To stay updated subscribe to our newsletter. Stay tuned.
